New Webinar! Mitzvah Pros Co-Founders Discuss Planning During a Pandemic
The year 2020 has been full of unfortunate stories, but don’t worry- this isn’t one of them! Our own Heidi Hiller was recently featured as a panelist on allseated webinar focused on Bar and Bat Mitzvah planning experiences during the pandemic. Check it out below!
Mitzvah Pros Background
Brynne Magaziner, the other featured panelist in the webinar, is also an event planner and owns a business called Pop Color Events out of Northern Virginia. Mitzvah Pros originally started as a Facebook group that Brynne created as a space for event professionals to network and form relationships. Heidi hopped along to help with the project, and nearly 1,000 followers later it became clear that the group was having enough success to justify expanding beyond Facebook. It seemed like the perfect niche was discovered. Most Bar and Bat Mitzvah outlets are all about marketing but lacked a way to provide education to the vendors. Thus, Mitzvah Pros set out to fill that space, with the mission to host collaborative networking, provide education and professional development, give back to the community through tzedakah and tikkun olam, and finally to educate clients about industry practices. We have experienced a lot of growth since we got our start six years ago.
Mitzvah Planning Webinar
Starting in April 2020 we began meeting online weekly for support and education. In spite of the ongoing pandemic, Mitzvah Pros is still a thriving community. In fact, our growth has exploded this year. Vendors across the country have been looking for support during these uncertain times, and we’ve been there for them every step of the way. Within a year, the industry has a huge toll due to the restriction on large gatherings around the world, and many of our members have shifted services, with some fully integrating to online events. As you can imagine, the shift has been a massive undertaking. This webinar effectively takes everything we’ve discovered together about making the most out of the current situation and planning inventive, safe and FUN parties.
A month after giving this presentation, we spoke with EventPros.com about what the winter ahead will be like for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
