Under the creative direction of Heidi Hiller, our team is comprised of experienced event planners, designers and artists. We work with many of the most reputable and creative industry professionals, including the area's top floral designers, lighting experts, entertainers, furniture and prop rentals, linen rentals, caterers and bakers, photographers, videographers and more, all adding their expertise and industry knowledge to your event. Your planner will handle all your event details, overseeing the design, coordination, production, fabrication and set up of all your event décor. Heidi Hiller
Founder | CEO | Creative Director
Heidi Hiller has shown her flair for design since starting private art lessons at age seven and consistently making decorations for school functions, parties and dances. After graduating from Washington University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial and Advertising Art, she began a career in advertising, graphic design and environmental graphic design.
Heidi co-founded Zozzie & Heidi, Innovative Party Planners in 1996 and built it into a full-service event design and management firm wowing clients throughout the mid-Atlantic. The U.S. Small Business Administration selected IPP as a Maryland Woman Owned Business of the Year finalist, and Heidi has achieved such honors as being chosen for LASSO’s Top 50 and Top 100 Women in Events and the BizBash Top 1000 People in the U.S. Event Industry. She also was named Baltimore NACE Member of the Year and has completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.
While overseeing a team of talented individuals with no limitations on creativity and fun, Heidi works closely with each client to create a unique event experience that surpasses their expectations. She tailors the event experiences and décor to her clients’ goal, theme, personality, budget and vision so they can feel reassured and confident throughout the design and planning process.
In addition to her leadership at IPP, Heidi serves on the board of the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce. She is also Co-Director of MitzvahPros – a national network that supports and elevates Bar and Bat Mitzvah event professionals and their businesses through collaborative networking, education, professional development and tzedakah. She previously served as President of the Beth Tfiloh Parents Association, Vice President of the Carver Center for Arts and Technology Foundation and a Board Member with Sinai Hospital Auxiliary and the Pearlstone Conference & Retreat Center.
When Heidi is not designing and producing events, she enjoys traveling with her husband of 42 years, Zentangling, painting, gardening, knitting or crafting.
Sheryl Berger
Art Director
Sheryl oversees our in-house art, graphics and printing studio. She and her team create custom event décor, from creative centerpieces, signs, and props to unique place cards. She began working in the event design field in 2003 when she planned and decorated her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah and continued creating original party decor for other events before joining Innovative Party
Julie Murphy
Lead Event Producer
Julie joined our planning team in the fall of 2019. Her extensive background in event logistics, production, styling along with fashion merchandising adds a unique perspective and additional hands-on experience to our planning and design department. After earning a degree in Fashion/Apparel Design…
Benjamin Hiller
Operations Manager
Benjamin Hiller wears many hats, from managing the warehouse, maintaining our IT, accounting, the website, coordinating event crews, assisting in the art department, to loading and transporting our vehicles with your event décor. He is responsible for keeping Innovative Party Planners & Event Pros running smoothly.
Nancy Gray
Event Producer
Nancy Gray joined our team in 2021 with over 10 years of experience in the event industry. As the former co-owner of a party décor and planning business, Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the table. She specializes in the design and planning of social events and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Nancy has planned numerous events in her career, is very attentive to her clients needs, and will come up with new and innovative ideas for your party. Let Nancy plan your next event!

Event Crew are integral to the success of all our events. We are hiring crew to help us pack, deliver, set up and break down event elements on an as need basis.
