Looking Ahead to 2021 with Innovative Party Planners
Earlier this month, we took a short view back through 2020 to recollect on the one-of-a-kind year that is just about to conclude. At last, it’s time to move forward and shift our focus to the year ahead!
Out with the Old, In with the New
In 2020, we were off to a fast start with over 10 in-person celebrations before the nationwide shutdown began in March. From that point, we fully shifted our attention to creating engaging and fun virtual/hybrid events. We can’t wait to resume planning large in person celebrations at some point in 2021, but we can’t expect it to happen right away.
As we move through the year, we’ll be looking for opportunities for those who postponed their in-person parties in 2020 to safely reschedule. Even once it is deemed fully safe to celebrate safely in person, we still expect virtual gatherings to be used in some facets moving forward. We believe 2021 will be the year for hybrid events, with components of live events combined with online events, where we can invite those that cannot attend due to gathering restrictions or being unable to travel.
Staying Nimble
Even as we start to move away from 2020, there are still some uncertainties about the future that we’ll be keeping in mind. Currently, the COVID-19 vaccine is only being distributed to those over the age of 16. As of now, it seems that they'll only start testing in January to determine if children can safely be vaccinated. All this to say that it will probably be a while before children can be vaccinated and ready to attend large in person gatherings. That leaves us a bit cautious about upcoming Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, as determining when it will be safe for these gatherings to commence safely is still of concern.
These uncertainties have given us no reason to panic, however. We took a nimble and innovative approach to solving all of last year’s challenges, and we plan to carry this momentum into the new year. Regardless of the setting of our parties, we are prepared to produce dynamic, engaging events.
Strength and Hopefulness
The Pantone colors for 2021 have been announced: Illuminating and Ultimate Grey. These two independent colors being paired together encapsulates feelings of strength, positivity, hope and friendliness. We also feel that the choice of multiple colors may be foreshadowing a more eclectic approach to the year ahead. After all, not everything has to be perfectly matching in order to be beautiful!
