While the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly thrown a wrench in many plans for weddings, graduation parties, retirement celebrations, b’mitzvahs and birthday parties, that does not mean that we should hold off on the ceremonies or celebrations. At Innovative Party Planners, we have been working hard to learn and innovate new ways to have awesome ceremonies and celebrations without gathering in large groups. Virtual and hybrid events are the perfect way to celebrate life’s greatest moments with family and friends due to COVID-19.
Making Amazing Events Online
Every event is different, and that is true whether they are traditional in-person events, hybrid events which combines in-person and online guests; or solely online events. Because there is no one-size-fits-all answer, we encourage you to reach out to our virtual event planners to discuss how you envision your ceremony, service or celebration to unfold. Consider what kind of experience you would like for your online and live guests. Virtual events can be engaging and heartfelt like traditional live events, but there are some things that are not possible to do online. When we make great events online, we focus on the things that we can control—the sound, the lighting, the filming, and creating a safe space where the honorees or hosts participate. We can add live or pre-recorded entertainment, engaging activities for the guests to participate in, digital programs, welcome kits and more. We encourage you to consider having an online host to greet your guests and get everyone settled in and engaged. Our online facilitators will assist your guests to sign on, help if they are having internet connection issues or avoid things happening to distract them. Focus on the positives and all the possibilities, and you can rest assured that you will have a wonderful event experience.

There are plenty of benefits to having events online, and many of them are financial. You do not need to worry about feeding every guest, having a chair available at your venue and even how many guests show up. Instead, you can focus on enjoying the time with your family and friends. There are new costs, like setting up the right platform, but many of them will not approach the costs of something in-person. Online events might be happening because of COVID-19, but we expect that this will not be the end of gathering online with family who live far away or have other obstacles that don’t allow them to attend your event in person.
